Q. WHAT IS A HOME INSPECTION?
A. A home inspection is a visual examination of the physical structure and systems of a home, from the roof to the foundation, performed by a certified inspector. If problems or symptoms are found, the inspector may recommend further assessment.

Q. WHEN SHOULD I HAVE A HOME INSPECTION?
A. It is important to inspect a home when:

Purchasing a property
Inspecting a home prior to closing can reveal problems that you may not have been aware of. Armed with knowledge, you may be able to get the current owners to pay for the fixes, saving you time and money.

Selling a property
Getting your home inspected prior to selling will provide you with a realistic assessment of your property’s condition. Better to know upfront than to have a sale fall through after time is spent. Knowing what objections may be raised, can help you deal with them quickly and efficiently.

Annually to stay informed on the condition of your home:
By getting your home inspected annually, you can ensure you stay informed on the condition of your property. This keeps small problems from escalating into large and expensive issues that you will be faced with later on.

Q. SHOULD I ATTEND THE INSPECTION?
A. While, it is not necessary for you to be present for the inspection, it is recommended. You will be able to observe the inspection and ask questions. Often times you will gain more knowledge about how the home’s systems work, and how to best maintain it.
